Today, two of our volunteers traveled to the home of an elderly resident in western Harnett County to completely rebuild her deck. The photos below show the finished result, along with images from each stage of the rebuild.
This project was completed for an elderly gentleman in Cameron who needed a sturdier, more accessible deck to support safe movement at home. After recently suffering a stroke, he is now living with blindness, and a properly built deck will make a meaningful difference in his day-to-day mobility and independence.
