Harnett Habitat celebrated 25 years of service with a party, music, and dancing
For 25 years, Habitat for Humanity - Harnett County has provided affordable homes for needy people in the community. We decided that this milestone would be a good time to celebrate and say thank you to our sponsors and the community.
“There’s no place like home” was the slogan for our fall fundraiser. North Carolina's own, The Band of Oz entertained more than 150 people in attendance, including two of Habitat for Humanity of Harnett County charter members, Dunn Mayor Oscar Harris and Carnell Robinson.
The event raised $8,000 that will go towards Habitat’s current home construction on Rosemary Street in Erwin, NC.
Mayor Harris offered a “... sincere appreciation for the significant impact Habitat has made to our City and County, for improving our communities, while providing affordable homes for hardworking families.”
Highlighting the night was the appearance of the Morris family who has partnered with Habitat for the construction of their new home.
We could not have pulled this off without the time and generosity of our corporate sponsors and the Harnett County community.
