Habitat for Humanity of Harnett County is seeking a ReStore Manager to oversee the store’s daily operations and help guide its future growth. Reporting to the executive director, this leadership position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, safe, and productive retail environment that supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading daily retail operations and working to meet sales goals within the approved budget
- Managing donation intake, pricing, merchandising, recycling, and waste disposal
- Providing excellent service to customers, donors, and community partners
- Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising retail staff and volunteers
- Maintaining a clean, organized, secure, and safety-focused workplace
- Developing marketing, advertising, and social media initiatives to increase sales, donations, and volunteer participation
- Preparing monthly operational reports and helping develop annual and monthly budgets
- Building community partnerships and sharing best practices with other ReStore locations
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable workplace requirements
The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, organized, and comfortable leading people from diverse backgrounds. Applicants should have retail management experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid North Carolina driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record. The position requires availability on Saturdays and occasional evenings, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout an eight-hour shift. Familiarity with Harnett County is preferred.
