Liberty Church Volunteers Help with Erwin House Landscaping

On Saturday, October 28th, 11 volunteers from Liberty Church offered their help with landscaping on Habitat for Humanity's 3rd house built in Erwin, NC. The house is being built for the Keeton family. The new Habitat homeowner is a single mom with five children.

She's currently living in a wide manufactured home in northern Harnett County in the Duncan area. When she moves into her four-bedroom house with two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and dining room, her payments will be half of what she's paying for rent.

According to Mike Blackmon, President of Harnett County Habitat for Humanity, "The group is here today to do the landscaping. The group will plant shrubs, spread pine straw and topsoil around the perimeter of the building, and pick up trash, twigs, and branches."

The goal is to get the Keeton family into their home by Christmas.
